Seat has shown the first pics of a new special edition of its three-door Ibiza Sports Coupe for the German buyers. The Ibiza SC (Sports Coupe) Sport Limited comes in “Lumina Orange” finish and only with the not-so sporty 105HP 1.6-liter petrol engine. Only 300 coupes will be produced.

The Ibiza SC Sport Limited is distinguished by the 17-inch alloy wheels finished in black and shod in beefier sport tires, an aerodynamic kit with a new front bumper, side skirts, roof spoiler and a unique rear bumper housing faux air vents on both corners, a diffuser and two tail pipes mounted centrally.

The car’s rooftop and exterior mirrors are finished in black.

The two-tone color theme is continued inside as the air-vent rings, gearbox knob, door panel trims as well as the seams on the thick-rimmed steering wheel and sport seats are all finished in orange. The aluminum pedal set and additional standard features such as rain sensors and park assist system complete the package.

The new Ibiza SC Sport Limited is priced at €20,620 or about US$25,500.

The upgrading version of the Seat Exeo (Spanish version of the old Audi A4) has been unveiled in Britain with the introduction of two new trim levels called SE Tech and Sport Tech.

Available to order now with first deliveries to take place in the UK this summer, the Seat Exeo Tech versions are said to add a total of £3,270 worth of extra equipment £3,270 for just £875 over the price of the standard SE and Sport models.

All Tech models get a DVD-based color screen satellite navigation, BOSE premium audio upgrade, black leather upholstery and an iPod connection in lieu of the standard glove compartment-mounted USB port

The Tech trim levels are offered on both the sedan and station-wagon versions of the Exeo with a choice of two 2.0-turbo diesel engines (143HP or 170HP). Prices start from £21,270.

Seat today unveiled the first official pics and info of its all-new Alhambra MPV that will go on sale in Europe this summer.

Its a young brother of the latest generation Volkswagen Sharan. Aside from the Alhambra’s unique fascia and tail lamp designs, the two MPVs models are identical. Same goes for the interior as the only difference between the Alhambra and VW Sharan concerns the steering wheel hub.

Measuring 4.85 meters in length, the new Alhambra is 220 mm longer than its predecessor, while it is also wider by a full 90mm.

It features large sliding doors with optional electric operation and can seat up to seven passengers in three rows of seats.
In addition, the middle row seats can also be arranged longitudinally, with integrated child seats available as an option.

Underneath the skin, there’s a new engine line-up with TSI petrol and TDI diesel units, all equipped with fuel injection and turbocharging as well as Start-Stop system and brake energy recovery technology.

There are two TSI engines producing 150- and 200-horsepower, and two 2.0-liter TDI engines delivering 140HP and 170HP.

Look at the all-new Seat Ibiza Sport Tourer! The new ST will make its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show in the beginning of March. The Seat Ibiza Sport Tourer is a subcompact estate and it will go on sale in most parts of Europe by early summer.

As anticipated, the production version of last year’s Frankfurt Show IBZ study has lost all those edgy styling elements such as the hidden rear door handles and the sharper tail lamps that made the concept look so special.

On the outside the Ibiza ST appears to be identical to the hatchback model while from there aft, the styling brings to mind the Audi A3 Sportback.

Measuring in at a length of 4,320mm, the new Ibiza ST is about 180mm longer than the hatchback model.

Most of the extra length is concentrated in the rear overhang benefitting the capacity of the luggage compartment that now reaches 430 liters, and can be further increased in stages by folding the split rear seat.

The VW’s Spanish division said that the Ibizia ST offers a choice of three petrol and three TDI units with common-rail injection with four of those engines operating with direct injection and turbocharging.

These include the group’s new 1.2-liter TSI petrol with 105HP and the 1.6-liter TDI in 90HP and 105HP guises.

The Volkswagen’s Spanish division will launch in the UK the new Ibiza FR TDI that will be available in both three-door SC and five-door variants with prices starting at £16,465.

The diesel-powered extension to the Ibiza FR range boasts a four-cylinder turbocharged diesel pumping out 143 horsepower.

The SEAT’s TDI accelerates the SC 3-door hatch from 0 to 100km/h in 8.2 secs and on to a top speed of 209km/h. The 5-door model’s equivalent values are 8.3 secs and 129mph.

Both Ibiza’s bodystyles come equipped with climate control, ESP with SEAT’s new XDS electronic ‘virtual’ limited slip differential and FR detailing inside and out.

SEAT introduced a new concept, called IBZ, in Frankfurt. The Seat IBZ concept adds an Alfa-worthy beauty to what might otherwise be an ordinary wagon. The new concept takes the Ibiza hatch platform and adds more interior room while keeping the virtually the same exterior dimensions.

The IBZ will be put into production as soon as possible (may be in January of next year). Of course the more wily elements, like the headlights, will go the way of the moa.

Spanish SEAT planning to unveil its new Leon Cupra R on Frankfurt Motor Show, being held from 17-27 September. The new 2010 Seat Leon Cupra R was revealed at the Barcelona Show in April, the R-line replaces the standard model’s 240-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-pot with a 265-horsepower direct injection 2.0 TSI.

Seat claims that the new four-banger features a new, high-pressure fuel pump injector to “satisfy its greater performance demands, while fully complying with strict EU5 emissions standards.”

The extra grunt allows the front-wheel drive only Leon Cupra R to slash the 0 to 100km/h (62mph) sprint from 6.4 seconds (standard Cupra) to 6.1 seconds and top speed climbs from 247 km/h (154mph) to 250 km/h (155mph). The standing kilometer takes 25.7 seconds while Seat announces a combined fuel economy of 8.1 lt / 100km or 29mpg US / 34.9mpg UK.

Aside from the ‘R’ logos on the central grille and at the lower right of the hatch, the right instrument dial and the remote control key, the range-topping Leon also gets 19 inch, five double-spoke wheels shod with 235/35 tyres. The larger wheel assembly allowed Seat’s engineers to upgrade the braking system with 17 inch 345 x 30 mm discs at the front and 16 inch 286 x 12 mm at the rear.

SEAT Ibiza Bocanegra unveiled! The SEAT Ibiza Bocanegra is a more sporty-looking version of the Ibiza Cupra. The new Ibiza will be offered with a 1.4-liter twin-charged TSI engine in 150HP and 180HP guises.

The Bocanegra’s exterior include a broader grille, a new treatment for the fog light surroundings, black door mirror housings, a dark tinted sunroof and newly designed 17-inch alloy wheels. At the back, the Bocanegra features honeycomb mesh on the side grids, a roof spoiler and a tinted rear window plus a prominent “Bocanegra” badge centred on the rear hatch.

The SEAT Ibiza Bocanegra’s interior has been upgraded with sport seats upholstered in a special fabric made up of rhomboids stitched together in red, a three-spoke flatt-bottomed steering wheel, gloss black trim, aluminum-clad pedals and a Bocanegra logo on the instrument panel.

The SEAT Ibiza Bocanegra will hit European showrooms in couple months.

The Volkswagen has announced plans to introduce a new line of minicars for the VW, Seat and Skoda brands. VW announced that new car will be based on the Up! prototypes and will produce a new lineup at its Bratislava plant in Slovakia. The new SEAT minicar will be available in 3-door and 5-door versions at the beginning of 2011.

The first study for these minicars, the three -door Up!, made its debut at the Frankfurt Show in 2007.
